{"id":69856,"date":"2024-12-13T11:00:40","date_gmt":"2024-12-13T11:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sheffieldwire.co.uk\/?p=69856"},"modified":"2024-12-13T12:00:51","modified_gmt":"2024-12-13T12:00:51","slug":"mother-and-son-duo-launch-sheffields-first-sen-friendly-train-clubs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sheffieldwire.co.uk\/index.php\/2024\/12\/13\/mother-and-son-duo-launch-sheffields-first-sen-friendly-train-clubs\/","title":{"rendered":"Mother and son duo launch Sheffield&#8217;s first special educational needs friendly train club"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A train club which will welcome children with special educational needs is set to open in Sheffield this weekend.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nicola Fletcher and her son Jude will open the doors to the first of these clubs on Saturday December 14 in Oughtibridge. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The idea from the event started in June after Mrs Fletcher tried to find clubs that supported her six-year-old son&#8217;s autistic needs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She explained Jude loves trains and wanted to join a relevant club, but the only suitable ones are based in the south of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mrs Fletcher said: \u201cAt the end of July, Jude and myself,  started to collect all the pre-loved tracks, which is something that is important to me. (Source &#8211; James Fletcher)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The train club is open for everyone who loves trains, of all ages, and children with special educational needs are welcome. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mrs Fletcher continued: \u201cJude and I understand the importance of making this train club sensory safe and open to all.
