Posting on Facebook, she said: &#8220;It appeared to have minimal roots and had an odd smell, so I thought it may be diseased.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sheffield City Council have said that an investigation this morning determined the tree fell because of root system decay and internal decay of the lower stem.
