Chancellor Jeremy Hunt is expected to announce tax cuts in Wednesday’s Budget, with suggestions that national insurance could be cut by 2p.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Downing Street has also denied implications that Mr Hunt is “timid and lacking imagination,” and rejected the notion that the Prime Minister is a “backseat driver” to the budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among other measure Hunt is alleged to be considering is the removal of non-dom tax status and proposals for a new duty on vaping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, \u00a367m will be used to build up to 1,300 new homes in Furnace Hill and Neepsend as part of Sheffield’s Levelling Up fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the announcement has been met with a mixed reaction, as residents said they need other community essentials like parks, shops and pharmacies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
