{"id":49080,"date":"2023-12-08T12:42:06","date_gmt":"2023-12-08T12:42:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sheffieldwire.co.uk\/?p=49080"},"modified":"2023-12-08T12:42:07","modified_gmt":"2023-12-08T12:42:07","slug":"14-year-old-boy-among-three-charged-for-theft-of-17000-worth-of-goods-at-meadowhall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sheffieldwire.co.uk\/index.php\/2023\/12\/08\/14-year-old-boy-among-three-charged-for-theft-of-17000-worth-of-goods-at-meadowhall\/","title":{"rendered":"14-year-old boy among three charged for theft of \u00a317,000 worth of goods at Meadowhall"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The theft of over \u00a317,000 worth of goods from the Apple store at Meadowhall on Monday has led to the arrest of three people including a 14-year-old boy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police were called to the store at 5pm on the 4th of December after it was reported that a group of six offenders entered the store and stole 19 iPhones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Working alongside Apple staff, police tracked two of the stolen phones to near Sheffield train station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">British Transport Police officers assisted and three people were arrested at McDonalds on Farm Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Those arrested were connected to an incident in Exeter on the 3rd of December, where items valued at \u00a310,000 were stolen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sorinsava Rostas, 21, of no fixed abode, and Ramir Rostas, 18, also of no fixed abode, were charged with two counts of theft and remanded before appearing in court on Wednesday the 6th of December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A 14-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was also charged with two counts of theft and released on bail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meadowhall was contacted for comment, but didn&#8217;t respond. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The theft of over \u00a317,000 worth of goods from the Apple store at Meadowhall on Monday has led to the arrest of three people including a 14-year-old boy.
