{"id":48545,"date":"2023-12-01T16:32:09","date_gmt":"2023-12-01T16:32:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sheffieldwire.co.uk\/?p=48545"},"modified":"2023-12-01T16:49:11","modified_gmt":"2023-12-01T16:49:11","slug":"sheffield-charity-relaunches-fund-to-help-heat-homes-this-winter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sheffieldwire.co.uk\/index.php\/2023\/12\/01\/sheffield-charity-relaunches-fund-to-help-heat-homes-this-winter\/","title":{"rendered":"Sheffield Charity relaunches fund to help heat homes this winter"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>South Yorkshire\u2019s Community Foundation are asking financially secure households to donate their government allowances to those that are struggling this winter.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The charity set up a JustGiving page last year that allowed people to donate their Cost of Living support packages to less fortunate families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The campaign raised over \u00a372,000 during the Cost of Living crisis, which was distributed to local community groups.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, eligible households are entitled to an annual payment of up to \u00a3600 from the government to help with fuel and energy bills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So far, the relaunch has raised \u00a35,798.
