{"id":41939,"date":"2022-11-27T13:52:33","date_gmt":"2022-11-27T13:52:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sheffieldwire.co.uk\/?p=41939"},"modified":"2022-11-27T13:52:36","modified_gmt":"2022-11-27T13:52:36","slug":"doncaster-mother-sets-up-christmas-appeal-to-get-presents-to-struggling-parents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sheffieldwire.co.uk\/index.php\/2022\/11\/27\/doncaster-mother-sets-up-christmas-appeal-to-get-presents-to-struggling-parents\/","title":{"rendered":"Doncaster mother sets up Christmas Appeal to get presents to struggling parents"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A mother in Doncaster has set up an appeal for parents struggling to buy their children presents for Christmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Care home assistant KT Littleford has been using her own time, money and petrol to deliver gifts to parents struggling with the cost of living crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms Littleford, 46, has always wanted to create an appeal like this and feels now is the perfect time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She said: &#8220;This year more than ever with the cost of living families are just struggling so much more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve been there myself in the past where you really can&#8217;t afford presents and it is quite a big stress on parents.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 20 families have already received support, with hopes the final number will rise to over 30, and Her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justgiving.com\/crowdfunding\/christmasappealdoncaster?utm_term=JjyW7zwE4&amp;fbclid=IwAR0LfF6oM-ZqZpEfgCiHuE56q8w5CgTXci2vra7Sa-MgYUYQ7RNnVsVZAZw\">Just Giving Page<\/a> has raised \u00a3155 of its \u00a3250 goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms Littleford said she could not have done it without the help of her friend, Nicci Bentley, and the kind donations from the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She says other parents in particular have responded well to the appeal with those who can afford to giving what they can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Local business owner, Tracey Duncan, discovered the appeal from a friend&#8217;s Facebook post. She has donated a number of handmade stockings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mrs Duncan, 49, was excited to help due to the local feel of the project.
