The charity is <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">still getting some calls from people who are now frightened to go out due to how long they have been at home.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Margaret Lewis, CEO at Sheffield Mind, said: \u201cFor a lot of people coming back out again has not been a natural progression, they&#8217;re still finding it very difficult. So to come somewhere that they know, trust, and feel they will be supported and accepted, is really important.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe grand opening day is to say, we are here, and we will do our best to support you and help you get back out there, at a pace that you can manage.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_41206\" style=\"width: 179px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-41206\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-41206\" src=\"https:\/\/awesome-shockley.77-68-72-77.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/IMG-2875-169x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"169\" height=\"300\"><p id=\"caption-attachment-41206\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">CEO of Sheffield Mind Margaret Lewis<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Visitors to the centre can access a range of mental health services including art therapy, anger management and help to reduce hoarding. Local choir <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hofharmony?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@hofharmony<\/a> are currently treating visitors to a live performance. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Tx1jRvyz4r\">pic.twitter.com\/Tx1jRvyz4r<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Sheffield Wire (@Sheffield_Wire) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Sheffield_Wire\/status\/1523632807867691009?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 9, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jules Roberts, from the group, said: \u201cWe got in contact with mind, because we felt we could share the proven benefits of singing to mental health.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Singing is a way to turn off,&#8221; fellow member Jason Leonard added. &#8220;We sing acapella which takes a lot of focus, so you can&#8217;t think about other things because you are so focused on singing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The charity plans to run more new classes in the coming weeks. They are starting a \u2018Kaleidoscope Cafe\u2019 this Wednesday which will run fortnightly targeted at people from the LGBTQ plus community who are lonely or who have mental health needs.
