A caf\u00e9 in Hillsborough has raised over three thousand pounds for Ukraine by selling baked goods.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Molly\u2019s Caf\u00e9 and Deli is owned by Lucy Poplawski, 35, and her husband, Poitr, 39.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lucy said that the community has been incredibly generous, especially because of her husband being from Poland.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe didn’t know what we could do at first. But the one thing we knew we could do was bake.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Poplawski’s family live on the border of Ukraine and Poland so they have seen the \u201cfull impact of the refugees coming over the border,\u201d his wife Lucy said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She added: \u201cIt’s just something so close to home that we thought we’ve got to do something.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe’ve got a family of three little girls and watching the news every day is just heart breaking.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The Deli has been baking Ukraine cake and Ukraine barszcz soup, as well as cupcakes decorated with the Ukrainian flag.<\/span><\/p>\n

They have also named a brownie after Vladimir Zelenskiy, the president of Ukraine.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
