Photo credit: Becky Payne Photography<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Dr Payne said the narrative around climate change, characterised by megaphones and scary news stories on social media, can be overwhelming for people to think about.<\/p>\n<p>He said: &#8220;We&#8217;re wanting to start with very simple conversation, with food, with people, in places in Sheffield.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Dr Tom Payne - Lead Creative, Ark Sheffield\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/J5l_YckYSf8?feature=oembed\"  allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Ark, with fellow creatives Julia Udall and Alex De Little, want participants to explore their own hopes, fears and solutions to the ecological crisis we face.<\/p>\n<p>The events so far have been a huge success, Dr Payne said, with an exciting, diverse mix of people having rich conversations.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_38510\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-38510\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-38510\" src=\"https:\/\/awesome-shockley.77-68-72-77.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Blend-Kitchen-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-38510\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A meal at Blend Kitchen. Photo credit: Becky Payne Photography<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A meal at SADACCA last week saw a 91-year-old man attend.<\/p>\n<p>He came along because he needed to do it for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, to show he was part of the conversation and to leave a legacy behind.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Payne said: &#8220;It&#8217;s such an honour when somebody is there, and they&#8217;ve lived a really full life, and still want to act and make things better for other people.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Conversations from the food events will be recorded and streamed at The Crucible as part of Together in the City Festival on 6 April, so that the 900 strong auditorium can hear the voices of the city.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_38643\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-38643\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-38643\" src=\"https:\/\/awesome-shockley.77-68-72-77.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/SADACCA_image-by-Becky-Payne-2-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-38643\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">SADACCA meal event.
