And it&#8217;s not like it&#8217;s just a one off. It&#8217;s like a weekly thing and we are getting sick of this now. It&#8217;s such a shame for the community.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The club has been forced to call off eight games in the last few weeks as a result of the problem.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She added: &#8220;There is potentially 15 kids in each team and then there&#8217;s their family and friends that come and spectate. It&#8217;s a lot of people to disappoint.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_38274\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-38274\" class=\"wp-image-38274 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/awesome-shockley.77-68-72-77.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/IMG-7316-300x110.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"110\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-38274\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Halfway Juniors members (Photo: Courtesy of Halfway Juniors)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Mosborough councillor, Tony Downing has been working on a solution to the problem. There is a meeting scheduled for April where interested parties are hoping to discuss the issue to come up with a cost effective solution. He suggests that fencing would cost between \u00a320,000 and \u00a325,000 so they are looking at an ecological solution instead. This would involve planting strategically placed trees to prevent vehicle access to the fields.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_38281\" style=\"width: 230px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-38281\" class=\"size-full wp-image-38281\" src=\"https:\/\/awesome-shockley.77-68-72-77.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/bigpic.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"220\" height=\"268\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-38281\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Councillor Downing<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Coun Downing said: &#8220;<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I&#8217;m working as hard as I can to try and get the cost down and do it in a way that works for everybody as fencing would be cost prohibitive for the council.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;If we can try and get something in place, for the start of the next football season in September then we will have achieved something.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vandals have ruined a Sheffield football pitch by driving over it in off road vehicles.
