It will reduce waiting times, expand wards and upgrade equipment.<\/p>\n<p>Many criticise this and believe the NHS needs the money elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew Smith, father of a northern NHS doctor, 59, said: \u201cThe work pressures my son has are not COVID related, his pressures are from people abusing the NHS system.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is people doing student things, taking drugs, getting into fights, stabbings, so what his problem is people are being stupid.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf money was spent on the education of people to get them to understand the NHS is a limited resource and the staffing is limited, if we put money into it being respected then I would say money is well spent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce people respect the NHS, then serious cases like heart disease and cancer, they can concentrate on those people rather than those abusing the system. \u201c<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_36596\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-36596\" class=\"wp-image-36596 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/awesome-shockley.77-68-72-77.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/NHS--300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-36596\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">How communities helped towards thanking the NHS through lockdown. @Wikicommons<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS foundation Trust received 20 bids and will be given \u00a34.9m in capital funding and \u00a31.1m in digital funding.<\/p>\n<p>Sheffield Children\u2019s NHS Foundation Trust received six bids and will be given \u00a31.1m in capital funding and \u00a3516,000 in digital funding.<\/p>\n<p>Now with the new COVID variant Omicron on the rise, many people are worried this is not going to be enough.<\/p>\n<p>Sandra Toledo, 30, said: \u201cIt is definitely not enough money to give through the winter, especially given the current situation. We don\u2019t know what is going to happen with the COVID variant search.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe definitely need more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This funding is part of bigger national \u00a3700m investment with 785 approved schemes.
