{"id":35513,"date":"2021-12-03T11:51:20","date_gmt":"2021-12-03T11:51:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sheffieldwire.co.uk\/?p=35513"},"modified":"2021-12-03T11:51:20","modified_gmt":"2021-12-03T11:51:20","slug":"swimming-championships-make-a-splash-at-ponds-forge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sheffieldwire.co.uk\/index.php\/2021\/12\/03\/swimming-championships-make-a-splash-at-ponds-forge\/","title":{"rendered":"Swimming championships make a splash at Ponds Forge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After a year off due to the pandemic, the Swim England National Winter Championships return to Ponds Forge this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The short course meet is the biggest of the winter cycle and will feature some of England\u2019s top athletes, including a number of Team GB Olympians who competed at the Tokyo 2021 summer games.<\/p>\n<p>The action kicked off at 9am this morning, with heats in the men\u2019s 50m freestyle and women\u2019s 100m breaststroke opening proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>Several changes have been made to the running of the event this year, due to the ongoing effects of Covid-19.<\/p>\n<div style=\"max-width: 400px;\">\n<div style=\"position: relative;
