Businesses who have not yet received a government grant are encouraged to apply for the financial support by 31 March.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It\u2019s so important that as we enter another month in lockdown we ensure that businesses continue to have access to the right support to sustain them until our economy begins to reopen&#8221; Councillor Mazher Iqbal, Cabinet Member for Business and Investment at Sheffield City Council told SheffNews.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_31676\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-31676\" class=\"size-full wp-image-31676\" src=\"https:\/\/awesome-shockley.77-68-72-77.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/6074731976_e20ab1031c_c.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"536\" srcset=\"https:\/\/awesome-shockley.77-68-72-77.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/6074731976_e20ab1031c_c.jpg 800w, https:\/\/awesome-shockley.77-68-72-77.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/6074731976_e20ab1031c_c-480x322.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 800px, 100vw\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-31676\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Creative Commons: Adam Bruderer<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;So far throughout the pandemic we have distributed millions of grants to businesses and we are now one of the best-performing regions for the value of the most recent grants we have allocated&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>The funding is expected to continue beyond the end of March. The Government confirmed in this year&#8217;s spring budget that &#8216;restart grants&#8217; will be available to businesses which were required to close during lockdown.
