It was quite cold!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8220;We\u2019re doing a blind baking thing, where one of you is blind and the other can\u2019t talk, and we\u2019re going to try and make and decorate a chocolate cake,\u201d added another.<\/p>\n<p>For others, it was a Valentine&#8217;s Day of firsts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cIt was our first Valentine\u2019s together this year.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>We got together six months ago &#8211; in September. It\u2019s just been lots of walks. We got together in between lockdowns,&#8221; said one pair.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cWe had a restaurant meal from Deliveroo. It was lovely and we did presents and stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Another couple, married in December, were enjoying their first Valentine&#8217;s day together since their wedding.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cThis morning, we woke up and gave each other cards. It took a while to find one because I wanted something to do with \u2018Brooklyn 99\u2019 and I got a \u2018Brooklyn 99\u2019 poster. It\u2019s our favourite show,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cWe actually need to put our wedding photos up. So, the first thing is going to be \u2018Brooklyn 99\u2019 and then our wedding photos!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Singletons not wanting to miss out on the celebrations made the most of Galentine&#8217;s with their own plans for the day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8220;We decided &#8211; because we\u2019re both single and all our friends are in relationships &#8211; to give each other presents,&#8221; said two friends.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8220;Our other housemate &#8211; he\u2019s the only other single one &#8211; is cooking for us. So, we\u2019re going to have a nice three-way meal. It\u2019s going to be really lovely.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8220;A cheesy romcom is probably in order.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For most though, it was an evening in &#8211; watching films, cooking a special dinner &#8211; after their chilly Sunday strolls.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell we\u2019re walking in Endcliffe Park. We\u2019re having a change, we\u2019re walking the other way round today instead! We\u2019re going to have a meal for \u00a320 from M&amp;S,&#8221; said one couple.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8220;So, Sundays are normally our date day, so we\u2019ll be watching a daytime film &#8211; something from the 80s. Possibly \u2018Jaws\u2019 today?&#8221; said one husband, hoping to take the pressure off his wife for the day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8220;Then, I will be cooking tea, which is unusual as well. Seems like I only cook once a year, apparently!
